A True Christmas Story

Thomas Williams - Would you like to hear a true Christmas story that I always remember on Christmas eve, living in America?

Grandmother Kutchler lived in a one-bedroom bath and kitchen small back yard home on St Rock St across from St Roch Market on St Claud Ave, New Orleans.

She slowly walked to that Market on her SS income that was just a few dollars left for some Christmas items she fixed for herself on Christmas day, tomorrow.

As she walked through the Markets front door, a man she didn't know told her, "to go shop for whatever she wanted that he was paying her groceries as a Christmas present to her from him. And how he has been noticing how well she take care of herself through the years as he also lived there on St Roch Ave."

After Grandmother Kutchles filled her grocery cart to the top, he helped deliver them to her home, even bringing them into her kitchen, kissing her on the cheek before he left, wishing her a very Merry Christmas.

She called my mother, her daughter telling my mother about her Christmas gift from a stranger in St Roch Market on Christmas eve.

My Grandmother died in October year later she was 96
