Good morning, Tiger Fans,
"Last night, Coach Ed Orgeron held his weekly radio call-in show, and man, was it a doozy!
But before getting to that, let’s start with a follow-up to one of yesterday’s closing tidbits on the status of Derek Stingley, Jr.
In our previous post, we wrote that Stingley wouldn’t play this weekend but that Orgeron didn’t have any update beyond that. Afterward, I heard from several readers who read all kinds of things into that simple statement and assumed that Stingley’s days in purple and gold were over.
Well, the school released the following update and quote from Stingley shortly after our post:
LSU All-America cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. had a procedure performed on his foot, head coach Ed Orgeron announced on Wednesday. Orgeron said there is no timetable on Stingley’s return to the field. “I appreciate all of the support from LSU and the fans,” Stingley Jr. said. “I’m doing all that I can to return to the field as soon as possible. I want to finish out the season with my teammates and I will do everything I can to get healthy so that I will be able to play again this year.”
