Tinker - The older I become, the harder it is for me to see the disappointment in a young woman's eyes when the man in her life failed her and doesn't seem to care or understand.
That moment that other people take for granted, saying, "oh well, that the breaks." intensifies my sadness seeing her hurt again and again. Because where else can she go to maybe have what she wants and the joy of feeling that way? Men can break the curse that all women suffer over generations, and how her feelings could be better protected, making their life easier as a Mother, Sisters, Wife, or Friends relating to women trusting men. And how I learned that love is an attitude we should all protect better.
I can't stand to see them cry anymore.
