"I gouged out a grave a few feet deep,
And there in Earth's arms, I laid her to sleep;
And there she is lying, and no one knows;
As the summer shines and the winter winds blow;
casting petals of flowers over her head;
And the little gray hawk hangs aloft in the air,
And the sly coyote trots here and there,
And the black snake glides and glitters and slides
Into a rift in a cottonwood tree;
And the eagle sails on,
And comes and is gone,
like a stately ship at sea.
And you wonder why I do not care
For the things that are like the things that were.
Because my heart lies buried there
In Texas, down by the Rio Grande?"

Psalms 23:6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the lord
forever.

The prospect of awakening after death, walking into the light, instantly understanding all of the questions you had about life, answered in the blink of an eye. And then, because of your faith, see God! You couldn't stand the joy of that reality still alive back on earth. I imagine the knowledge would turn into the emotion that kills you. To be alive again forever with the people who loved you, with God too. Ephesians 5:14 - Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arises from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
